Purpose
As a Young People Advisor (known as Change Maker within the business) you will work with a caseload of around 30 active young people aged 15 to 24, providing information, advice and guidance (IAG) to support their progression.
You will work closely with participants to assess and understand their needs, creating a personalised programme of support including a selection of employability curriculum and activities and mentoring from role models. You will set and review progress towards goals with a focus on progressing participants into suitable and sustainable learning or employment opportunities.
Essential:
You will have:
A qualification in advice and guidance, mentoring, coaching, teaching or youth and community work or relevant experience to enable a qualification to be gained
Experience of caseload planning management and organisational skills
Experience of developing and maintaining rapport and effective relationships with young people
Experience, understanding and empathy with the lives of young people
A proven track record of achieving results and targets

Location:
Working largely based at the office/working base delivering in person support to our participants with home and community working included on an ad hoc and minimal basis where necessary. Our service will cover the London Boroughs of Bexley, Brent, Hackney, Harrow, and Havering.
