We are seeking a Site Manager to supervise the daily operations on our Timber Frame build in Worcester Park. The successful candidate will be part of a small on-site team for the Main Contractor.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on and have experience dealing with subcontractors, suppliers and customers.
Responsibilities:
DAILY TASKS
- Keep the on-site diary up to date
- Perform Inductions
- Arrange permits
- Organise deliveries
H&S
- Assist Project Manager in maintaining highest standards of Health, Safety and Quality on site
- Review RAMS
- Close out Health and Safety reports (audited twice a month)
- Organisation and Filing of H&S information e.g. Temp. works checks, scaffold inspections, plant checks, commission reports.
- Collate Friday Packs from Subcontractors
- Communicate with Sub Contractors and ensure that their paperwork is up to date and submitted on time
- Ensure Site Plan and Emergency Plan is up to date, must be able to update this and organise the site in a practical manner
- Perform routine site checks on Subcontractors
QUALITY
- Perform Quality Checks on Fire Stopping
- Close out Actions arising from Quality Inspections conducted by 3rd parties. Know how to find information to do so and be capable of planning and co-ordinating this.
- Organisation and Filing of Quality information e.g. fire stopping reports, scaffold inspections, plant checks, commission reports.
- Communicate with Sub Contractors and ensure that their paperwork is up to date and submitted on time
- Perform routine site checks on Subcontractors.
This is a full time role with a lot of administrative duties. The successful candidate will have strong skills in the following areas:
- IT (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Communication
- Organisation
- Planning
- Research
- Confident in emailing
- Most importantly – eager to learn, energetic, able to apply themselves and focus on tasks.
Necessary:
- SMSTS
- First Aid
- Must be able to read drawings
- Temp Works Supervisor (desirable)
- Fire Warden (desirable)
Highly Desirable:
- Experience in recording and managing fire stopping
This is an ideal role for a young candidate that is pushing to get to Site Manager/Project Manager level. There will be plenty of opportunity to take on responsibility in an environment that encourages development. The Project Manager will be on site full time and will impart as much knowledge as possible to the successful candidate. The job is running to Christmas.

Salary: £45,000.00-£47,000.00 per year
