Note: This is a full-time, 12-month contract position directly reporting to the Marketing Manager; pay rate as agreed, based on experience, expertise, and applicable education.
The primary responsibilities of the Content Creation & Marketing Associate are to create, suggest and oversee Teen Challenge Canada’s online digital strategy, ranging from, but not limit to, social media and website communications, blog / online content creation and producing convincing regular content for a variety of audiences across multiple mediums and platforms. Other responsibilities include developing original content and revising previously published materials, as well as monitoring and supporting the engagement received through a variety of social platforms.
WHO WE ARE
Teen Challenge Canada Inc. operates 12-month in-residence alcohol and drug addiction rehabilitation programs, for adults 18+ years, with centres located in Alberta, Atlantic Canada, Saskatchewan and Ontario. We offer help and hope to those struggling with alcoholism and/or addiction to other drugs through a proven faith-based program. Those struggling with addiction, their family and friends, begin their restoration at Teen Challenge.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to walk narrative content from the idea stage and deliver to market in multiple styles,across multiple channels and platforms (e.g., copy for web, ads, email, social media, etc.).
- Develop written content to support various marketing needs that align with strategic goals, including but not limited to, marketing campaigns, digital and print resources.
- Design and implement a social media strategy that utilizes content and engagement techniques to create awareness around the Teen Challenge Canada brand.
- Create, proofread, and edit a variety of written material including but not limited to marketing materials, blog posts, website copy, articles and social media posts in a timely manner and ensure content is creative and engaging
- Liaise with various departments and staff to create new content that helps Teen Challenge achieve its goals
- Execute strategies and provide recommendations for Teen Challenge Canada’s digital communication plans and ensure that they align with our core values
- Establish and find new ways to establish a positive online presence for Teen Challenge by integrating company-specific and brand messaging in compelling and valuable ways for participants
- Monitor online reviews/comments across web and social media and respond to them in a timely manner
- Keep up-to-date and conduct research on emerging industry trends
- Prioritize and schedule workload to ensure timely completion
- Active collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team and Teen Challenge Canada centres
