Veterinary Reception Manager
Salary: £30,000 (Depending on experience)
Location: 608 Vet Practice, Solihull
Job Type: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
The Veterinary Reception Manager is a key role in leading and empowering the front of house teams to deliver an outstanding and polished experience to our clients and visitors to the Vet practice. It will require you to work closely with the Nursing Manager and other senior team members. An important aspect of this role is to continuously lead by example and promote positive staff morale.
Your role and responsibilities
To promote a good image of our practice through high personal appearance and in communication with members of the public and work colleagues
Be efficient, pleasant, courteous, polite, concerned, and helpful to all clients, under all conditions, at all times
Continually monitor and respond to client feedback, action any suggestions to improve our service
Define, develop, implement, and communicate our client service standard and policies and procedures to ensure optimum service is provided at all times
Assist the reception team in creating a harmonious culture in line with our values and vision
Demonstrate positive leadership by always leading by example, motivate and boost employee morale
Experience required:
Experience of motivating, leading and developing a team
Experience in a client care environment
Previous experience working in a similar role
Experience of handling customer complaints and issues with payments

608 Vet Practice was founded in 1932 in Knowle. In 1951, services transferred to our current main surgery at 608 Warwick Road, Solihull.
Part of the Linnaeus Group, we aspire to deliver a Gold Star service, constantly looking for ways to improve. Our two branch surgeries in Acocks Green and Bentley Heath have been established for over forty years, there may be occasions when you’re required to work at different branches.
All surgeries offer a full range of routine veterinary care:
Consultations, Vaccinations, Flea and worm treatments, Microchipping, Neutering, Nutritional advice, Advice on taking pets abroad, Repeat Prescriptions.
Patients requiring hospitalisation are cared for 24 hours a day at the Solihull surgery, where our dedicated emergency team is based. Our hospitalisation facilities include walk-in kennels for bigger dogs, an isolation area for infectious cases, separate cat ward, incubators for extra warmth and oxygen and vivaria for our more exotic patients.
We are proud to have one of the most advanced in-house laboratories in the country run by our experienced lab technician with vet nurse support.
