Radical Impulse Dog Training are looking for a confident, enthusiastic and experienced dog trainer to conduct one-on-one sessions at clients'homes/ local areas. The dog trainer's responsibilities include evaluating dogs' dispositions and temperaments, providing regular progress updates to Radical Impulse team, and teaching clients how to reinforce good behaviour and dis-encourage the unwanted through balanced methods.
The successful applicant should have sound knowledge of various dog training techniques and demonstrate excellent communication, dog handling, and problem-solving skills, as well as reliable transport and be able to travel within a 10 mile radius of W5. It would be preferable if the applicant was able to work most if not all weekends. One of the sales team will contact you with information about clients and it will be the successful applicant's responsibility to schedule a date and time to perform the session. Depending on the difficulty of the sessions ( i.e.: puppy vs rehabilitation training) will be the wage per hour from £15 - 25.
Dog Trainer Responsibilities:
- Consulting with clients to discuss behavioural concerns and training needs.
- Identifying additional behavioural concerns and communicating them to clients.
- Developing suitable training plans for dogs and documenting their progress.
- Teaching dogs to obey commands using various training techniques that are best suited to each dog’s personality and attributes.
- Implementing appropriate training programs to address and resolve problem areas, including reactivity, separation anxiety, hyperactivity, and biting.
- Teaching clients appropriate training methods to enforce and maintain behaviours and skills learned by their dogs during training sessions.
- Contacting clients to schedule training appointments in a timely manner and verify bookings.
Dog Trainer Requirements:
- 5+ years of dog training experience , and proven track record ( reviews, testimonials, videos).
- Professional and adaptable to any situation.
- Sound knowledge of dog training techniques as well as animal behaviour and body language.
- Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and time management skills.
- Strong dog handling skills.
- Effective communication skills to both dog and humans.
This role is a contract, self - employed role. Applicants must have reliable transport and be able to travel within a 10 mile radius of W5. It would be preferable if the applicant was able to work most if not all weekends.
