The Newt in Somerset
The Newt in Somerset has ancient woodland, historic gardens and far-reaching views. It is a unique destination with Hotel, Spa, Restaurants and much more. Visitors can take a tour of the gardens, deer park and cyder press, dine in the Garden Café and visit our farm shop. We attract some 200,000 visitors per year, The Newt in Somerset is a vibrant and thriving attraction, animated throughout the seasons by special events, workshops and education programmes.
Our Creative Team
We are an in-house creative department with a variety of priorities and tasks. As a new business, we have a multitude of projects which range from PR assets, design of hotel collateral and menus to packaging design for the retails.
Our Creative Artworker
Our ideal candidate will be a self-motivated all-rounder who can engage with our ethos and help us share it beautifully with a global audience.
Working closely with the Head of Creative, you will be passionate about design and print process with a very good knowledge of the Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Using Adobe Creative Suite on a regular basis to update imagery across the business
- Managing our print process both internally and externally, including liaising with our printing company
- Communing effectively with our production and warehouse departments to coordinate and prioritise orders
- Raising purchase orders and processing invoices through Sage system (training will be given)
- Assisting other members of the creative department as required
- Supporting with administrative tasks
Skills and Experience
- 1+ years work related experience within a similar role
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Microsoft Office systems
- Excellent time management, organisational skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Great communicator as you will be working with a variety of individuals on each project
- Enthusiastic, adaptable and proactive
- Knowledge of the SAGE accounting system is desirable
