We are looking to appoint a Finance Reporting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with our Commercial Finance Analyst to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of financial data. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to make informed decisions, optimise processes, and ultimately provide the best services to our clients and communities.
We are seeking a proactive individual who possesses a solid foundation in accounting principles and is eager to grow within the financial domain. Proficiency in Excel is a must, as we will conduct a short Excel test during the interview process to assess your skills.

This role will require applicants to undergo screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and/ or Disclosure Scotland.
What you’ll do:
  • Liaise with Operations Managers to ensure timely reporting of figures
  • Run weekly reporting for sales and agency costs
  • Ensure accurate accruals/prepayments for school costs within month (agency & deep cleans)
  • Prepare monthly stock sheets with up to date pricing to issue to schools
  • Cost analysis
  • Prepare monthly internal and external reports for each school
  • Identify and implement standard reports/excel workings to increase efficiency
  • Monitor and keep up to date adhoc reporting as required (eg tariff charges)
  • Support wider Accounts Team on ad-hoc tasks
What you bring:
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to communicate via email and telephone and to finance colleagues and Operational Teams
  • Comfortable working at pace and managing their own responsibilities
  • Team spirit – works well in a team, maintains a collaborative approach
  • Working towards accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACT) is desirable
