The primary purpose of this role is to provide Quality Assurance support to Biomet UK Ltd. The successful candidate will have an understanding of engineering drawings, the ability to understand MHR’s and can use various types of inspection gauges. Working as part of a Quality Department this role is to conduct Quality Inspection from Goods Inwards to Finished product and reporting device defects.
• The checking all parts through final, sterile and non-sterile processes using a variety of measuring equipment. i.e. Vernier, shadow graph etc. • Perform detailed dimensional evaluation of Zimmer Biomet products and accurately document inspection records. • Carrying out all inspection activity to ensure compliance to the internal Quality Management System and GMP requirements • Reporting all device defects in accordance with the relevant procedural requirements • The completion of the manufacturing history documentation in adherence with Good Documentation Practices Providing technical support to Team Members in relation to Quality

• Experienced working within a manufacturing / clean room environment, ideally within a regulatory industry e.g. medical device, aerospace • Experienced in performing quality control checks on incoming goods and / or final product. • Advanced knowledge of technical measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, thread gauges, hardness testers, etc.) and understanding of precision tolerances as related to product • Knowledge of SAP and Kronos Software • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel & Word) Comply with all Health and Safety requirements
• Typically work is varied and the ideal candidate will be adaptable to change and react to new issues, they will require the ability to re-prioritise workloads. The role requires the individual to be flexible and work unsociable hours.
