Hanbury Autogil Ltd are recruiting for a driven and committed Electrical Control Panel/Machine Wireman to work for our well established and rapidly expanding engineering company based in Newton Abbot, Devon.
We have a highly experienced team who specialise in the design and manufacture of state of the art converting automation equipment for multiple industries. The post is an exciting and dynamic position that would suit someone who is flexible and thrives in a busy environment.

Key Skills
- Interpret wiring diagrams and wire control panels/systems and other high-end electrical assemblies
- Interpret mechanical assembly drawings for the purpose of laying out and populating control panel back plates
- Ability to communicate with Design Engineers on machine modifications and improvements
- Mechanically cut, drill and assemble electrical control panels and sub-assemblies to assembly drawings
- Hold good working knowledge in crimping and soldering
- Work well as part of a team and alongside other trades
- Follow project through from build and test to onsite installation
- Fully committed approach to Quality First within their workmanship
- Flexible – ability to operate in different areas of the business if required
- Ideally have experience or understanding of EN-ISO build Standards
Experience
- Experience beneficial in a similar industry of electrical wiring of control panels and machine control systems
- Ideally having worked in an environment where EN-ISO standards are adhered
- Working in a factory environment
- Flexibility to work away on customer site when required
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Quality focus and a continuous improvement drive
Qualifications - Preferred, not essential
· Electrical Apprenticeship
· NVQ or City Guilds Qualification Essential
· 17TH Edition
Contract Details
- Full Time 39 hours a week
- Working Hours Mon – Thu - 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday 08:00 – 15:30
- Overtime will be expected when required
- Actual starting salary will depend on experience
- Company sick pay after qualifying period
- 5 weeks annual leave plus Bank Holidays
