Due to a full order book, we are now recruiting for Welders to join our team.
Overview and Purpose of Role As an important member of the Fabrication team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all steel is welded and fabricated to a high standard so that it can be progressed to the next stage of manufacturing
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and understand engineering drawings.
- Clean steel before, during and at the end of use
- Use disc grinder to smooth out, weld, or grind parts prior to welding
- Weld/Fabricated steel component parts
- Examine weld for bead size and other specifications
- You will ensure that all works carried comply with quality procedures
- Working as part of a team to develop continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance to all general site Rules, Regulations, Policies & Procedures
- Any other duties as required by management to suit business needs
- Adherence to our ISO 9001 Quality management system
- Adherence to company health and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and tidy works area
Experience & Training
(E) Essential Criteria
(D) Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience of MIG Welding to a high standard in a work environment (E)
- Previous experience working in a heavy manufacturing/engineering environment (E)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (E)
- Proven measurement and mathematical skills (E)
- Previous of TIG Welding to a high standard in a work environment (D)
- Previous experience in the same industry (D)
