Meraki Talent are supporting with the permanent appointment of a Head of Finance based close to Musselburgh paying £60,000 plus a strong benefits package.

The Opportunity

This business has a hugely ethical purpose with a big focus on sustainability. It’s going through of change and & transformation and is looking to appoint a new Head of Finance to support it on its fantastic journey ahead.

The position of Head of Finance is a split role where 50% will be focused on taking ownership of BAU finance, whilst the other 50% will be focused on supporting & business partnering with the Senior Management Team to influence operations, direction, strategic & direction.

The key components of the role will include:

• Part of senior management team influencing operations, strategy, direction and decision making through business partnering & financial analysis
• Involvement in high profile projects
• Leading the finance team and function including training, development & appraisals
• Production and presentation of monthly reporting packs
• Ensuring a robust financial controls and governance environment whilst identifying & mitigating risks
• Reviewing and developing processes, procedures, controls & systems
• Ownership of finance – statutory accounting, management accounting, VAT/Taxation, budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, balance sheet, and transactional finance (AP, AR, credit control, payroll)

Candidate Profile

We are keen to speak with qualified Accountants that ideally have a strong blend of both management & financial accountings. It’s importance the individual has at least supervisory experience, ideally management and the ability to liaise, interact and influence senior stakeholders.
