We are looking for the best candidate to join a well-established, successful client who are recognised experts in the design and production of pressure vessels/MRI scanners.
Employing around 100+ people, investing in the latest technologies, techniques, and processes to improve productivity and quality output in order to exceed customers’ expectations.
Exciting opportunity for a Fabricator to join our client’s team in Abingdon Oxfordshire on a full time, permanent basis for the Late Shift.
- Shift - set shifts, no rotation.
- 37 hr per week.
- Early 05:45 - 13:45 and 05:55 - 13:00 on a Friday.
- Late 14:15 - 22:25 and 13:00 - 19:00 on a Friday.
However only looking for late shifts at the moment.
You must be able to:
- Accurately read and understand fabrication drawings.
- Check products for compliance with specifications and quality requirements.
- Repair / rework as required.
- Be confident with simple math calculations including fractions and decimals.
- Understand factory safety standards, be able to work safely and be aware of potential hazards in the workplace.

Salary: £29,381 - £35,074 Per Year (with a potential for progression in line with in-house experience and skills training per year). There is an additional late shift allowance of 14%.
Responsibilities
- Competent with laser cutting, press brakes, seam welders and sheet roller.
- You will shape, form, and join sheets and other materials to make products and components as scheduled within the manufacturing division.
- Perform quality Tig tack welds on stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Perform final assembly to produce high quality finished products.
- Ensure tolerances and parameters are met to satisfy quality and output.
- Join metal cylinders together using Fillet, Butt and Key hole seam welding or similar equipment.
- Cut and form flat sheet into tubes with the ability to read engineering drawings with a good eye for detail.
- Follow safety protocol, including wearing PPE – such as air fed mask, gloves, protective footwear, ear plugs or defenders, etc.
Experience
You must have:
Previous experience using factory equipment such as Edge prep machines, tube rollers, rotators, manipulators, and grinders– safely and effectively.
- Coded TIG welding experience
- Fabrication: 1 year (preferred)
