Here at Parkersteel we have an exciting opportunity for a Sawman to join our busy Operations team at our Dudley Site.
You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 06.00am to 14.30pm, and in return you will receive a competitive starting salary of 23,000.

The Role:
Setting up and operating all machinery within the department – including saws and tube lasers (CNC). You will read and work from engineering/customer drawings as well as working to engineering tolerances. You will ensure that processed goods are to the highest quality.
Working as a team, managing steel products. Responsible for operation and care of Steel Saws and Tube Lasers, picking goods and packing orders and ensuring the working environment is safe and secure. Operation and use of IT equipment including PC’s, tablets. Overhead Crane and Forklift / Side Loader operation.
What are we looking for in our Sawman?
The role will suit a team worker who is keen to learn and committed within this fast-paced workplace. Experience in operation of similar equipment in a construction, factory or warehouse environment is essential, further training will be provided. Reliability and efficiency are key attributes of the successful applicant.
You will have excellent attention to detail to ensure products are handled and stored correctly. You will need to be able to work proactively within a team but also have the self-motivation to work alone at times.
Previous experience in a similar environment/role would be beneficial

- Manual handling experience
