Job Description
Brighton Music Hall is looking for a Content Creator and Marketing Executive to join our team, working closely with the Marketing and HR Manager. We are looking for someone who is passionate about creating engaging content, writing and making magic happen. This person must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Education/Experience/Skills
Copywriting:
- Write blog posts, email marketing copy, social media content, website copy, and other marketing pieces that are engaging, well-written and SEO friendly
- Assist in the development of new content for our website, mailers and social media channels
- Conduct research on trends or emerging topics to create original content and copy that feeds into our marketing plan
- Collaborate with team members and local businesses to ensure quality of all projects
- Work with our site team regularly (meetings every other week) to understand customer demands and sales focus areas, i.e., hot topics, events, plans.
- Set Google Alerts and other alerting methods for relevant keywords to understand hot topics.
- Monitor selected competitor websites and activities to research and find opportunities in terms of what they offer.
- Write short reports on key findings and share them with the Marketing Manager fortnightly. We will use this research and information to create new post ideas.
- Develop key material content i.e. leaflets, posters, email newsletters, and adverts, to support Marketing Manager.
- Review all written documentation as required. Proof reading, checking the accuracy of the content and ensuring it is grammatically correct with no spelling errors.
Marketing - content and marketing:
- Create and store content - experience creating high quality posters and videos. With skills such as adobe, video editing, canvas etc.
- Experience running paid campaigns, ads, and have a strong grasp algorithms for great results.
- Work with suppliers to gather content, to create campaigns and to raise brand awareness.
- Experience using and increasing engagement and audiences on Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok.
- Plan and manage marketing campaigns to support the needs of the project and the audience it serves.
- Assist the Marketing Manager in preparing coherent marketing campaign reports using data analytics tools.
- Experience with Wix, SEO and Mailchimp.
Event Planning and additional tasks
- Marketing our businesses through B2B and B2C channels through exciting copy and also researching new business avenues.
- Liaising with printers, photographers, and other relevant organisations in creating event materials.
- Deputise for the Marketing Manager when on leave and 2 days a week monitoring the marketing planner, whatsapp groups, with occasional recruitment and holiday data entry.
- Assisting with managing staff onboarding into our payroll software system.
- Managing and increasing bookings via social media channels. Deputising for bookings manager when on holiday.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £12.00-£15.00 per hour
