We have a great opportunity to join Avanti West Coast as a Project Coordinator as part of our Stations Project Team, reporting into the Senior Project Manager. Role is based at either Birmingham or London
We are looking for a highly organised individual with excellent attention to detail who can work well within a friendly team environment. This is a busy, fast-paced department where the need to multitask and use initiative will be vital along with excellent communication skills.
In this role you will be expected to deliver a high quality and efficient project coordination service to the wider Stations Project Team, including the Senior Project Manager, Project Sponsor and Workstream leads. Enabling and supporting the project manager by managing reports, documentation and projects plans. Ensuring they are up to date and accurate. The role will be responsible for the administration of meetings.
The successful candidate will play a lead role in supporting the project team.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Be proactive in providing general project coordination support for all activities including collaborating with other departments.
Audit actions proactively and manage timely updates for the Project Team members.
Provide support on any project compliance requirements.
Provide a high-quality support to the Project Team as required including diary management, organising meetings and conferences.
Manage and control documents to ensure only the latest versions are available for use by the Project Team members.
Aid the Project Team in their role planning, managing, and implementing the project end to end across the project management cycle (including systematic reporting and alignment with the defined
Projects Governance and use of mandated tools such as Workfront and Corestream.).
Understand and support the Programme Management Methodology (PMM) components of Avanti West Coast¿s corporate management system.
Assist with stakeholder management including staff engagement.
Provide support to risk analysis activities and reporting at project level.
Encourage continuous improvement including Post Implementation Review, regular reviews throughout the lifecycle and the refinement of the Programme Management Methodology toolkit.
Able to be trusted with sensitive information from both within the business and external forums.
