Digital Content Producer (£30,000)
As a Digital Content Producer, you will work closely with the Editor on delivering BBC Good Food’s ambitious SEO content strategy. With a genuine passion or interest in food, this role requires first-class editorial skills with a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate some experience in managing digital content, SEO-first thinking, and be proficient in making data-led decisions.
As a Digital Content Producer you will;
- Monitor and report on recipe content performance monthly and make recommendations to optimise reach and continue growth
- Own the SEO recipe wish list, prioritising the most crucial recipe commissions to ensure they are published and ranking before key search volume spikes.
- Create a weekly trends report and check Good Food and Olive keyword rankings against real-time search data
- Use an in-house video editing program to create videos from scratch, including capturing footage where required
- Own the priority list for SEO-first recipe videos and report on performance.
- Strategically repurpose all magazine content for digital channels, including recipes, article content and premium pages
- Organise SEO-first recipe web shoots, including shortlisting, writing SEO briefs, liaising with Food team, managing production timeline, publishing recipes and reporting on performance
- Report on the success of new and updated content to senior stakeholders and make clear data-first recommendations and decisions.
- Ensure all content commissioned and published adheres to Good Food’s SEO best practices
- Identify and write or commission reactive content to tight deadlines to ensure Good Food is relevant and part of the national conversation. This includes maintaining and creating new videos, articles and collections, as well as ensuring that content is surfaced at key times across all social channels.
- Upload content on site and be comfortable commissioning external contributors and internal staff on the production of multimedia content to include guides, video, infographics and recipes
Requirements
- Highest standard of accuracy and attention to detail
- The ability to write copy in line with the highest editorial standards
- Excellent grasp and understanding of SEO best practice
- Confident in making data-first decisions
- A demonstrable passion for and excellent knowledge of health and nutrition
- Experience writing tight briefs for external contributors
- Proven experience in video, social and marketing experience preferable
