Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Property Accountant to manage our financial accounting for multiple properties. The Property Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and managing cash flow, as well as ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting, experience in the property management industry, and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage the financial accounting for multiple properties
2. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
3. Review and reconcile accounts, including bank accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
4. Manage cash flow and monitor budget vs. actual performance
5. Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations and prepare tax returns and reports
6. Collaborate with property management and leasing teams to provide financial analysis and support
7. Develop and maintain financial models to support decision making and planning
8. Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
9. Maintain accurate and complete financial records and documentation
10. Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
2. 4+ years of experience in property management accounting
3. 7 Years’ experience into financial accounts and book keeping
4. Minimum 3 years’ experience using Xero, QuickBooks, Sage line 50 accounting software and Eque2 Construct
5. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax laws and regulations
6. Experience with property management software
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
9. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
10. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary: £36000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time
