Job Description
Current Vacancy:
Yard Support - Sunderland
Hours: 45 Hours Per Week / Salary: Competitive
Closing Date: 8th Sept 2023
About Us:
We're a growing family-run independent Builders' and Plumbers' Merchant with over 160 years' experience in the supply of building materials to local tradespeople, businesses, and DIY customers across our network of 36 branches in the north of England and online.
Our success is down to our exceptional people and family values, providing our customers with a 5-star service and expert advice. As one of the "1000 UK companies to inspire" for 2 years, we are committed to investing in our employees. We'll support you in your training and development throughout your career with us.
What you’ll be doing:
Your job will be to help with the day to day running of our yard and support the branch team in delivering an excellent customer experience. As well as taking care of our customers you’ll be required to load and unload our vehicles as well as our suppliers, manage stock, keep the yard clean and tidy and provide a safe working environment for everyone. The role will offer you the chance to learn new skills, work within a successful team and do your part to take this branch to the next level.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an excellent work ethic, good organisation skills and be a great team player. Experience in a similar role would be preferable but isn’t essential as full training will be given. A forklift truck licence would be a significant advantage.
What we can offer:
We know that our colleagues are our greatest strength, so we've created a benefits package that means we attract the best candidates.
