Job Description
OH! Consulting Group
Business Manager & Executive Assistant
Location: Liverpool, United Kingdom
Scope: UK, Europe, and pending USA launch
“We’re different.” they said.
In a world where everyone cares just a little too much about everything and anything at all, we don’t. Here’s why we think that matters...
If you fancy a job with us:
- We don’t care what degree you have (didn’t most people use it as an excuse to party for the best part of 4 years anyway?)
- That you dreamed of a long, distinguished career a FTSE but realised it wasn’t all it was cracked up to be - so now fancy the uncertainty and chaos of a start-up consulting business with associates all over the UK (you’re gonna need to fix that chaos by the way)
- You took time out to have a family or go travelling (yes we will ask where you went…)
- Of course you can work from home sometimes and be as flexible as you need (yes your family (and/or dog) is always most important)
What we actually want to know is that you share our values:
- You want to learn and are always curious.
- You’re positive with a can-do attitude.
- You see the bigger picture.
- You’re passionate about your work.
- You ask for and deliver constructive feedback.
- You care about our clients and provide the best in class service.
- You want to help others to succeed.
- You thrive on and celebrate the wins no matter how small.
- You bring your authentic self to work.
If you made it this far - here’s a bit of context:
We are seeking an ambitious and motivated individual to join our rapidly growing start-up consulting and commercial growth business based in Liverpool. As a Business Operations and Relationship Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our expanding operations across the UK, Europe, and the soon-to-be-launched US business (circa early 2024).
You will be responsible for a comprehensive range of key business activity:
- Relationship management
- Contractor management and coordination
- Executive assistance
- Social media engagement
- Community and network management
- Managing relationships across our partner and client portfolio
- Invoicing and basic finance process
- Being a voice of reason
- General day to day management of the business
- Aligning key stakeholders and holding them to account on critical internal actions
You should be a passionate self-starter, who possesses exceptional organisational skills, and be eager to contribute to the success and growth of our business. You enjoy planning ahead, identifying potential conflicts or spotting when people are over-committed (it happens) and can come up with solutions for managing their schedule. You enjoy working with people who don’t have your organisational ability, even though their more chaotic approach to time management might sometimes frustrate you.
What we will be looking for day to day:
Relationship Management:
(Talk to People - care about any challenges - ownership and accountability)
Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, partners, suppliers, investors, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth collaboration and mutual growth. Engage with industry communities, networking events, and online platforms to expand the company's presence and influence. Cultivate a strong professional network that brings value to the business through partnerships, knowledge sharing, and collaborative opportunities.

Provide comprehensive executive support to senior management, including calendar management, travel coordination, and preparation of documents. Leverage relationship-building skills to ensure effective communication on behalf of the executives.
Social Media Responsibilities:
(Build our brand and always look to promote our partnerships and value in the market)
Engage with social media platforms to enhance online presence, manage content creation, and interact with the audience. Utilise relationship-building techniques to foster a sense of community among followers, respond to inquiries, and promote positive interactions.
Coordination:
(Communicate and Co-ordinate you are the oracle of all OH! info - make sure we all know what is happening!)
Facilitate effective communication and coordination among different teams and departments to ensure seamless workflow. Foster a collaborative environment that promotes information sharing, teamwork, and relationship-building across the organisation.

(Make sure no one is out of pocket!)
Handle invoicing and billing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to clients. Maintain professionalism and reliability in financial interactions to strengthen client relationships.
Process Design:
(Write some clear actions for people to follow that anyone can pick up and understand - we are building from the ground up)
Collaborate with the team to identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to the design and implementation of efficient workflows. Apply relationship management principles to internal processes to enhance team dynamics and collaboration.
Stakeholder Engagement:
(Make an effort with people, show an interest - we aren’t a transactional business - we care)
Engage with various stakeholders, including investors, regulatory bodies, and community organisations; establishing the business as a responsible and respected entity within the ecosystem. Foster positive relationships through effective communication and a commitment to shared goals.
Conflict Resolution:
(Resolution is a resolution - let’s find the best solution for all)
Address conflicts and disagreements in a constructive manner, employing active listening, empathy, and effective communication to find mutually agreeable solutions. Maintain positive relationships even in challenging situations.
