Job Description
We are looking for Warehouse Operative and a picker and packer within a busy warehouse.Background and Benefits:Responsibilities and functionsEnsure a safe and hygienic workplace.Ensure that all tools and equipment breakdowns are reported timeously.All machinery and equipment must be stored in their designated storage bays, to avoid risks and accidents.Attain targets and meet deadlines to contribute successfully to the team.Assist the warehouse teams to achieve targets.Meet key performance indicators.Prepare, load, label and ship orders.Examine all received supplies for defects and damages.Load and offload supplies from incoming delivery vehicles, containers or boxes.Sort and store supply timeously, to reduce stock damages.Keep an accurate inventory log for all incoming and outgoing supplies.Thoroughly assess all incoming supplies for shortages, damages or any deficiencies.Report any factors that will impact the warehouse operations.Utilising all FLT’s in a safe manner in line with H & S policyEnsuring that all outbound stock is checked, loaded accurately and despatched on the systemUndertaking PI checks as directed by managementMaintaining all stock in an acceptable condition and ensure stock is placed in racking safelyComplying with Health & Safety procedures at all timesUndertaking any other duties which may be required to assist the needs of the business as directed by managementSkills and experience required for Reach Truck FLT Driver:F.L.T. Licence (Reach Truck)PPL licenceLevel Order Picker licenceExperience of using an automated warehouse management system and scanners etc.Experience of using Reach trucks with extending mastExperience of using double deep rackingJob Types: Full-time, TemporaryContract length: 6 monthsSalary: £10.50-£13.00 per hourWork Location: In personReference ID: Picker packer le4
