Salary: £28,371 to £31,099 per annum
Working Pattern: 37 hours per week, FTC until 31st March 2024,
Location: Chichester

This is a varied role which includes working directly with resettled individuals and families from Ukriane, and working with partners, volunteers and communities to help integrate these families.
Your work will and the organisation of social events for refugees, campaigns and communications. Your work will focus on the identification of local resources that gives refugees the best chance to assimilate into society.
You will spend time in the community finding opportunities to rehouse Ukrainian Families, provide them with language, employment and social links, so they can seek independence and control of their choices in the UK. This is finding communities, companies, locations and opportunities; and recording and publicising them.
You will bring skills and knowledge of refugee resettlement in UK, working in and with communities, partners and volunteers, and you will understand the barriers to integration. You will travel across the county, working flexibly to meet refugee family needs.
Experience and Skills
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to facilitate and implement support plans for refugees with partners and volunteers.
- Able to build credible working relationships with partners and volunteers and to ensure high levels of commitment though well executed incentivisation.
- Ability to apply sensitive interpersonal skills with refugee families and to effectively communicate and provide support on managing daily life.
- Ability to organise / prioritise work, coordinate a variety of tasks in a clear and logical way to meet agreed deadlines and essential activities, that enhance a refugee’s integration and independence.
- Educated to degree level, or equivalent qualification or extensive experience in refugee resettlement and migration.
- Experience in coordinating and working with partners, communities and volunteers in the resettlement context or similar field.
- Experience in events planning and management ( e.g. to enhance social connections, practice language, participation in community, includes running forums).
- Detailed knowledge of refugees and migration, communities, minority groups, partners and stakeholders to be responsive to safeguarding and wellbeing issues including addressing racism, domestic abuse, antisocial behaviour and child/sexual/workplace exploitation.
