Job Description:
We are looking for 1 part-time/full-time trainee garment cutter to join our manufacturing team. As a trainee garment cutter, you will learn how to cut a range of garments, including dresses, tops, and trousers, at speed and to a high standard, using industrial cutting tools and cutting garments by hand as required. You will also be responsible for laying patterns to reduce fabric waste, managing and maintaining a library of patterns, checking and managing fabric quality, loading cut garments for the sewing team, and keeping the cutting area clean and organised. Additionally, you will be expected to contribute to the overall running of the make room and support the make team in ensuring that garments are perfect and sent out on time.

- Work authorisation in the United Kingdom
- Experience in garment cutting or fashion design would be beneficial but is not essential.
AL Academy:
Our AL Academy is modelled on apprenticeship and internship schemes, with a structured development and training plan (AL D&T plans) in place for each role. All AL Academy roles are entry-level positions, allowing anyone who wants to join the industry a chance, regardless of qualifications or experience. We have a keen interest in building and developing transferable skills to enable trainees to make the best-informed decisions for their careers.
During the AL D&T program, the role starts from a national living wage on a fixed-term contract with fixed hours. The AL D&T plans vary from 3 to 12 months depending on the position, and all successful trainees will be offered a permanent role at a minimum real London living wage.
