Our open-spaced library is at the centre of the school and is used in a variety of ways including a place for silent reading, independent revision, researching the array of reference/fiction books, along with a suite of IT facilities. This post offers an exciting opportunity to re-shape our existing provision and be part of developing a thriving library which is at the heart of our school for both students and staff alike. As part of the school’s planned expansion, a period of refurbishment of our wider facilities is currently being undertaken and the post holder will be integral to aiding the development of the library facilities.
The successful candidate will:
- have an up-to-date understanding of research-based strategies to develop literacy levels in young people.
- Be approachable and a positive role model to the whole school community enabling you to the develop the library into a resource for all students to use throughout the school day.

The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification and will be subject to the relevant pre-employment checks which will, where applicable, include a health check, an enhanced DBS check, the Children’s Barred List check and satisfactory references.
