Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join ESNEFT as a Medical Photographer.
You will be required to perform a range of Clinical Photography activities - The photography of clinical, dental and surgical conditions of patients which form part of their confidential medical record, which may be required as part of a case report and/or medical evidence (court proceedings).
Applications will be considered at a Band 4 level for applicants with a degree in Photography. When sufficient experience has been gained the department would support progressing with a further qualification in Clinical Photography.

- Responsible for the photography of specimens in the departmental studios or at any other reasonable location using digital and/or traditional photographic equipment and materials as appropriate.
- Required to use a variety of standard and specialist photographic equipment and to determine how to best utilise the equipment in order to achieve high quality images.
- Have a basic knowledge of medical conditions and terminology in order to determine the appropriate medium and techniques to record a medical condition from details of that condition provided by doctors: i.e. what views are required when, for example, “Rhinoplasty views” are requested or complete “dermatological mapping”, or produce standard cleft lip and palate audit series of images.
- Responsible for the transfer of images on to digital archive with the appropriate metadata attached and to determine whether minimum image enhancement is required to make clearer.
- A general ability to take photographs both on location and in the studio using the buildings equipment and other general devices and objects as required.
- Proficient in Photoshop and associated editing programs to be able to edit, enhance but not misrepresent the appearance of your clinical photographs
