Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time

Salary: £45,000 per annum

Benefits: 10% bonus, Pension, 25 days holiday and bank holidays, Healthcare, 2 Volunteering days per year.

The Role


As our group grows, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Group Engagement and Communications Manager to join our People team, this new role is to lead the internal engagement and communications strategy for the Group, with the purpose of engaging our workforce, and driving continuous improvements in our culture and enabling people to have fun and collaborate.


Group Engagement and Communications Manager Responsibilities include:


  • Work as part of the People leadership team to refine and drive our Group Engagement and Comms strategy and support delivery of our change ambitions.
  • Source external and internal speakers to build our cultural calendar of events that engage and inform our teams. Creating events that bring our teams together as ‘One Compleat’.
  • Design and manage our inclusion and diversity events with the purpose of informing and inspiring change and developing the diversity of our teams.
  • Lead all group communications
  • Manage our business Linkedin page to externally project the great activities that represent our culture and attract people to apply to our business.
  • Partner with the Marketing and Social Media team to celebrate our new products and ensure that our 3,700 employees are our ambassadors and love everything we make.
  • Ensure consistent application of branding, guidelines and tone of voice.
  • Support with people projects and work with the CPO on projects that drive our positive culture throughout the business.
  • Support the CPO with arranging conferences and other fun events for our teams.


The Compleat Individual:


  • A Communication qualification is preferable but not essential.
  • Experience of working in an Engagement and or Communication HR position, with a proven track record of communication strategy and increased employee engagement.
  • Ability to work effectively and establish positive relationships with senior managers, employees, colleagues at all levels within the organisation, and external stakeholders.
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to challenge, support, influence and engage peers and senior management.
  • Self-motivation and driven, with ability to drive continuous improvements.
  • Personable, passionate and focused on giving a great employee experience.
  • Skilled Influencer. Driven To Deliver. Courage to Challenge.
  • Credible and organised.
  • Collaborative and innovative.
  • Able to create energy and fun with initiatives.
  • Driving Licence
  • Great with design tools (such as Canva) and ability to quickly produce inspiring and professional looking documents and newsletters.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with exposure to working with stakeholders at a senior level.
  • Experience of working in or with an HR team.
