We are currently seeking a professional to join our Global Fixed Income Quants team in the role of: Quantitative Analyst - this is an Associate Director level role
The role holder will ensure the HSBC values are present in everything they do, both individually and as an organisation. The role has a hybrid working pattern allowing for home based and office-based working at HSBC offices at Canada Square, London. You must be able to travel to work in London on a weekly basis
In this role you will
To be successful you should meet the following requirements
- Statistical analysis of algorithmic executions
- To design, develop, test and document quantitative models including prototype & backtesting models for use in algorithmic trading
- Drive algorithmic developments in relation to targets for revenue generation, product alignment, customer satisfaction and cost management.
- Effectively interact & develop technical solutions for the users as required (Trading desks, Product Control, Traded Risks, etc.).
- Detailed microstructure analysis of EMEA Fixed Income market
- Be a valued member of the global Fixed Income Quants team
Successful candidates are likely to also meet some of the following requirements
- Masters’ level qualification in a quantitative subject such as mathematics, physics, computer science
- Highly proficient C++ and with knowledge of Python, VBA etc
- Solid background in quantitative finance: stochastic calculus, partial differential equations, no-arbitrage valuation, numerical analysis.
- Knowledge of the standard pricing models used in the investment banking industry (Black-Scholes, Bachelier, local and stochastic volatility models)
- Knowledge of Fixed Income Credit Products and Models
- Ability to understand and manage complex and diverse scenarios
- Strong written and oral communication
