Job Introduction

Can you help? Our small but dynamic HR Systems support team needs a new leader and as an organisation, we need an expert in MHR iTrent and Business Objects.

Can you lead, motivate, and inspire a small technical team?

Are you skilled in the MHR iTrent system and capable of producing system builds and reports to respond to statutory and business requirements?

Are you a good communicator and collaborator, capable of working with a range of people, teams, and organisations to deliver projects, service improvements and innovations?

The team

The HR Systems team are a small group of problem-solvers and Business Objects report-writers with the responsibility for the day to day running of our HR/Payroll system and providing customer support for issues, seeking solutions, liaison with the supplier and monitoring system housekeeping.

Alongside this work, the team play an important role in delivering improvements by testing system upgrades, creating system builds, improving business processes, and participating in projects to deliver new systems and system integrations.

You and the team will deliver regular and statutory reporting needs.

You as a point of escalation and a source of service improvement

As a subject-matter expert, you will be focused both on supporting a range of HR solutions and working to move the service forward as we explore new technologies and ways of working.

You will be working closely with our Payroll team leaders, project teams, and customers around the authority and external bodies.

You will help the team adapt their business processes to get the best out of new and existing systems, and help develop the monitoring needed to ensure we know what’s working and what needs renewed focus.

You will work with various teams within HR and Payroll, internal and external customers, software suppliers, project teams, and IT developers, so the work will be varied and interesting.

The team currently work largely from home, with offices in central Brighton, a short walk from the sea. If you are able to maintain high professional standards and enjoy working at a management level in a busy environment, we look forward to hearing from you.
