The role of the Lead Product Owner
The Lead Technical Product Owner is responsible for ensuring our engineering teams are delivering products that meets our customers' requirements and are stable, reliable, and scalable. You will be part of a team responsible for building a core set of infrastructure products from the ground up related to telemetry and observability, engineering tools, and advanced CI/CD solutions. You will form relationships with our customer base to ensure their feedback is being integrated into product roadmaps and feature work, while balancing these requirements with the internal needs of the team.
In addition, participating in product road mapping and backlog grooming sessions to ensure product teams remained focused on delivering the best product will be an essential responsibility. With all of Maersk’s 3,000 engineers using our products on a day-to-day basis, this job will have a high degree of visibility into our engineering organization. Key Responsibilities

Customer centric: Capturing voice of business/customers

End to end product management – defining product vision, creating product roadmap, product implementation, delivery and benefit realisation

Set, prioritize, and evaluate the work generated by a software scrum team to ensure a customer-oriented product.

Balance feature requests, tech debt, architectural changes in a prioritized backlog to direct engineering teams to create the best product.

Become a subject matter expert so that you can work across the enterprise to field questions and feedback on how products are or are not meeting the demands of the customer base.

Work with engineering teams to ensure prioritization of all aspects of the product.

Manage the prioritization of the backlog.

Work across the enterprise to gather feedback and requirements.

Act as a key stakeholder in all agile practices.

Build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure products are being built and delivered to meet customer demands.

Own the roadmap, ensuring roadmap meets the needs of the development team and customers.
Key Skills

8-12 years of experience in software engineering and product management
-
Demonstrated experience in collaborating with and influencing across a wide variety of stakeholders.

Ability to deconstruct information into smaller categories to draw conclusions and leverage complex data to support decision making

Understands distributed systems and modern application development practices.

Understands iterative approach to development, incremental improvements over big releases.

Demonstrated ability to communicate to diverse types of stakeholders (leadership, engineering teams, internal development teams)

Deep understanding of scrum and agile software development methodologies.

Experience with making and justifying decisions in an enterprise environment.
