Jacuna is at the forefront of the rapidly growing dark kitchen industry with multiple national locations serving 100s of the UK’s most-loved and innovative food brands, with significant growth planned in the coming years. Dark kitchens are typically delivery-only kitchens with no customer frontage from which brands can prepare and deliver high-quality food to customers living or working nearby via apps such as Deliveroo, Uber Eats, and Just Eat.
We’re looking for an Electrical and Fire Alarm Engineer to take care of the maintenance and repairs to our electrical systems and fire alarms our kitchen pod sites in London as well as at our sites across the UK. This role reports into our Operations team to respond to reported issues and troubleshoot on live sites.
The role is primarily London-based, but at times will require you to drive to our sites in Leeds, Birmingham, and Manchester. A vehicle and valid driving licence is require. Our head office is based in Shoreditch, London.
Shifts: We offer shift patterns between 9am and 9pm, Monday to Friday

Carrying out planned preventative servicing and reactive repair work around Jacuna sites, including:
Fire alarm and detection systems installation and maintenance-
Commissioning of fire equipment

Basic electrical work including replacement of sockets, basic wiring and lighting fixtures

Respond to emergency calls for maintenance for Jacuna and our clients according to company SLAs

Perform troubleshooting to solve minor repair issuesFollow up on issues promptly and produce written reports on problems and resolutions

General upkeep of Jacuna sites and associated equipmentInstallation of new plant equipment when required

Working to relevant Health & Safety Practices while on site

Proactive and able to manage their workload and prioritiesNegotiate with contractors and monitor ongoing costCarry out other basic repair work

Valid FIA qualifications, minimum level 'Fundamentals'

5+ years’ experience in the electrical and fire-related industry

Familiarity with commercial kitchen electrical and fire installations advantageous

UK Drivers licence and vehicle for travel (essential)

35,000 - 40,000 GBP per annum
