We are the UK’s leading micromobility company. We design and operate shared bike, scooter and cargo-bike schemes at over 18 locations across the country. Aside from being a B-Corp, we are on a mission to help towns and cities become healthier and more liveable by reducing traffic and pollution through sustainable transport.
Named after the superstar female cyclist Beryl Burton, we started as a small team of cycling fanatics developing bike lights to improve safety. We are now over 100 strong developing our own bespoke software, hardware and operations capabilities to get people moving on two wheels whether you’re in the depths of Devon or the middle of Manchester.

About the Role
Few design roles can boast as much variety. Our brand experience spans both the physical and digital world, from locating a vehicle using our rider app to cruising down a busy street on one of our bikes. We also strive to share our story, through integrated campaigns and events to encourage cities and communities to choose healthy and sustainable transport.
You will be working closely with our Design Lead to boost the quality and quality of our brand assets as well as contributing new ideas and approaches.
The type of things you’ll be working on:

Social media content to promote a brand partnership
- Merchandise for scooter training events
- Pitch visuals to win a new business
- Web landing pages for promotion
- Vehicle livery and signage
- Out-of-home campaigns to promote a new scheme launch
- Organising and maintaining our vast collection of brand assets
- Sustainability reports that people will be excited to read.
- App and tutorial content
About you
We are expanding rapidly, winning new business and launching new products so we are looking for a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity. To thrive at Beryl you’ll be comfortable with rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck into a range of different tasks.
Must have:

1 - 4 years of professional experience
- A design portfolio
- Interest in transport and sustainability
- Experience using Adobe Creative suite
Nice to have:

- Experience using Figma and Clickup

Hiring Process
The following steps will be taken to ensure the application and recruitment process for our Brand Designer is as fair as possible, you should expect the following:
- We review all applications in the first 2 stages (Application/Shortlist) anonymously using redacting software.
- We cross-reference all applications against a pre-set, job-specific requirement matrix.
- Successful candidates will be subject to a 3 stage interview process:
1. Initial phone screening
2. A 45 minute interview with the Design Lead
3. 30 minute call with the wider company). A standardised question and scoring system will be used during the interview process.
- Unsuccessful candidates will be provided with feedback on the closure of the application process.
Successful candidates will be subject to reference or job-specific background checks after an offer of employment is made.
