Avaliable Job Today Integrated Case Management are currently recruiting for two carers to join a small established care team tasked with the care of a mature gentleman with a spinal injury in his own home. Excellent pay packages for experienced and committed carers. Generous holidays and a pension scheme are also included and available for the successful candidates.
The work hours offered are full time 42 hours per week but can be as short as 24 hours per week if a successful candidate wises to work less than a full time week. Shift patterns are in 6-hour blocks being 10:00am – 4:00pm and 4:00pm – 10:00pm and an overnight sleep-in shift from 10:00pm – 10:00am. All work session days are open to discussion and negotiation between the employer and the candidate. The basic pay rate for the role is £14.00 per hour.

About your experience:
You will ideally have experience as a carer in a one-to-one setting having worked previously with adults with a spinal cord injury, although applicants with no previous experience will also be considered as training and support is available in the role. You will be able to establish a professional working relationship with our client, their family and the care team.
You will be able to:
· Support our client in maximising their independence in all activities of daily living
· Implement daily therapeutic programmes
· To enable and promote our client in pursuing social outings
· To provide companionship
· To assist with personal care
· Assist the client with his moving and handling needs, using appropriate equipment
· Establish a professional working relationship with our client and their family
· Protect the client’s confidentiality at all times
· Maintain a working knowledge of the relevant case management plan and risk assessments
· Maintain good communications with the case manager and team leader using communication tools and other procedures
· Conform to all policies and procedures relevant to your role or employment, as prepared by the case management practice
Your skills:
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Punctuality and good timekeeping
· Willingness to participate in training
The successful candidate should be available to cover annual leave and periods of absence to meet the needs of our client and as part of the support team
We are able to offer a funded DBS, a competitive salary starting at £14 per hour, fully funded mandatory and specialised training and a pension plan.
