Role Overview
There is an exciting opportunity to support the BGUK Technology function and this role will be key to providing executive support to and for the Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO).
The role will be varied and will support key BGUK Technology activities as well as providing high quality business and administrative support to the CDIO. It will also ensure the Technology function maintains the close relationship we have with the Group functions, the BGUK Executive Team, peers in other regions and wider customers.
The Successful candidate will be the lead for the BGUK Technology function PAs and as such, the successful candidate will need to develop good relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels across the Bupa organisation, in addition to the BGUK Technology function.
What You’ll Do:
- Pro-actively providing a full confidential administrative support service on behalf of the Chief Digital and Information Officer including diary and email management.
- Organising any key meetings that the CDIO needs to schedule or attend, including cascading agendas and documentation.
- Helping to manage the Chief Digital and Information Officer's workload by pro-actively maintaining a process to ensure the CDIO is fully briefed and has appropriate papers in advance of meetings.
- Playing a role in supporting confidential business activities.
- Working closely and effectively with the Business Manager, ensuring tasks are completed expeditiously.
- Being the lead PA for the BGUK Technology function, working effectively with other PAs within the function and across Bupa as needed to successfully carry out duties e.g., arranging meetings, cascading priorities.
- Supporting the efficient management and execution of other administrative tasks to support the CDIO including expenses management, travel, and other general administration.
- Assist the CDIO in organising team activities and events, both internally and externally.
- Effective organisation and management of systems to support the CDIOs workload.
What You’ll Bring:
- PA experience who is used to supporting at an Executive/Senior level (PA/secretarial qualifications would be a distinct advantage).
- Be used to working in a pressured environment and meeting tight deadlines, thereby demonstrating strong organisational skills and experience of prioritising a busy workload with conflicting priorities.
- Have a high level of attention to detail, be self-motivated, proactive, and able to work well under own direction.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including strong written communication.
- Be happy to work flexibly when deadlines are tight or may conflict, demonstrating a pragmatic and flexible attitude.
- Have experience of leading a team.
- Have experience of organising events from beginning to end.
- Possess excellent proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Act with discretion in dealing with sensitive issues; always displaying a professional and tactful manner.
- Be trustworthy in handling sensitive information; and ensuring strict confidentiality is always maintained.
