We have an exciting opportunity to join the Corporate Governance Team at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust.
The Corporate Governance team, are a dynamic team who are responsible for the facilitation of Clinical Audit, Risk management and Quality Improvement projects throughout the organisation. Providing support to clinical leads and specialist teams to complete improvement projects using national standards that strive to improve the care we deliver. Corporate Goverance team supports the Trust’s Risk Management reporting system to enable its effective utilisation by staff across the organisation in support of their local risk, incident management and governance activities.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Clinical Audit and Effectiveness/Risk Management Co-ordinator to join our team to provide a variety of administrative tasks for high priority projects including creating audit data collection tools, providing complex analysis and preparation of draft reports. Experience of Clinical Audit, Risk and incident management, document control and governance systems and processes is essential for this role.
The successful post holder should possess excellent organisational and initiative skills, be able to work proactively and methodically under pressure, manage multiple priorities and be an excellent communicator.
The purpose of this post is to provide a comprehensive administrative service in delivering the Trust Clinical Audit & Quality Improvement programme by ensuring Trust Clinical Audit Policy is adhered to, undertaking audit of clinical practices, and supporting staff in undertaking clinical audit and service evaluation projects. The post holder's main duties will include supporting clinical teams in the process for registering proposed clinical audit and service evaluation projects. Assist in developing clinical audit tools to support collection of data and automated data analysis on completion of data collection. Undertake clinical audit utilising electronic systems e.g. Meditech/Badgernet/ImageNow to locate relevant information. Maintain and update local Audit plan and audit registers for Divisions.
Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust is a provider of specialist health care to over 275,000 children and young people each year. In addition to the hospital site located in the West Derby area of Liverpool, Alder Hey has a presence in community outreach sites and, in collaboration with other providers, our clinicians help deliver care closer to patients' homes by holding local clinics at locations from Cumbria to Shropshire, in Wales and the Isle of Man. The Trust also provides inpatient care for children with complex mental health needs at our Alder Park building in the nearby borough of Sefton.
We currently have more than 4,000 staff working across our community and hospital sites. We're also a teaching and training hospital providing education and training to around 540 medical and over 500 nursing and allied health professional students each year.
