Job Description
Location: London, 2 days in the office, the rest from home.
Salary Benefits £71,577 - £79,530 (depending on experience) base salary, plus annual discretionary bonus, 15% employer pension contribution (when you put in 6%), 4% flexible cash pot to use across a range of benefits, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

About the platform
Personalised Experiences and Communications (PEC) is a business platform that sits within Consumer Relationships. Which plays a critical role in supporting the achievement of the Groups strategic priority to grow by protecting and deepening customer relationships. We enable & deliver personalised customer communications & experiences across all channels, media and business areas supporting the Customer Relationship Growth strategy to deepen relationships with our customers across both the Retail & Commercial bank. This includes the data, analytics, and technology to unlock the value of differentiating our branded channel experiences, proposition, price and communication; as well as achieving our paper-free sustainable ambitions.
Key Objectives for the Platform
Simplify and modernise our technology estate to enable internal flexibility and increase responsiveness to evolving customer needs.
Improve customer experience and support the Bank’s sustainability ambitions by delivering compelling, reliable, safe paperless communications.
Enable two-way, seamless, multi-channel customer experiences that are differentiated, data-led and personalised - in line with the broader Group Conversational Banking and Channel strategies.
Deliver engaging, empathetic communications that are tailored to individual customer needs and provided via their preferred channel.
About the role
We’re seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, implementing, and maintenance of tools, processes, and infrastructure required for our software development and deployment operations
What you’ll do for us:
Collaborate with Product Owners, Designers, Engineers and DevOps Teams to build & refine design, functionality, features and test cases /scenarios. (Should be able to work in cross functional team.)
Participate in design and process reviews and enhance the team’s capability.
Identify and address quality/performance issues and implement software testing and engineering best practices.
Build efficient and reusable systems and work to enhance QE process in the Lab and Value Stream.
Maintain and monitor automated test pipelines.
Create/ execute test cases (functional, non-functional) and test data management, test plans, test reports and other key test artefacts.
Write and execute automated end to end test cases including unit, front end and API.
What can you bring to the role?
Strong Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering background.
Deep knowledge of the Testing Life cycle, Test Models, Best Practices, Test Benchmarking and Testing tools
Deep understanding of BDD and TDD best practices, 'Object Oriented knowledge or OOPS' concepts, development life cycle and 'SOLID' principles.
Experience in using multiple programming languages, framework, and tools.
Experience in using modern software development toolsets and demonstrate the ability to stretch into DevOps, Continuous Integration and delivery pipelines.
Desire and willingness to mentor and coach peers, driving a collaborative engineering culture.
