Avaliable Job Today -We are looking for a full time assistant administrator to join our travel office. We are a niche tour operator, operating group pilgrimages to worldwide destinations.
- This is initially to cover two part time employees on maternity leave. The cover ends in August 2024. There is the potential for this to become a permanent job after the maternity leave period has ended.
Job Description
This role is for anyone who wishes to develop their customer services and administrative skills whilst working in a varied role within a successful travel company.
Your daily tasks will include:-
- Answering the telephone
- Processing client bookings
- Corresponding with clients regarding their bookings
- checking passport details / travel insurance documents
- Processing payments
- Answering the telephone and dealing with customer enquiries
- Replying to e-mails
- Preparing brochure packs
- General administrative duties as required in an office environment.
There will also be further opportunities to learn new skills and take on more tasks within the operations sector and tour arrangements.
We are looking for someone with the following work experience, education and skills: -
- Degree or Higher Education diploma preferred
- Full training will be provided on the job.
- An interest in tourism and travel
- Minimum C grade GCSE for Maths and English
- Excellent written English
- Computer literacy; in particular Word, Excel, Outlook and Publisher
- High attention to detail
- A strong interest in delivering excellent customer service
- Excellent telephone manner
- High attention to detail
- Enthusiasm
- Punctuality, organisation and the ability to multi task
- Team player

The company is now at its third generation in this vocational work.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 09.00 hours - 17.00 hours.
