About the role.
Here at DHL Parcel, we currently have an opening for a Purchase to Pay Administrator (P2P), to join the P2P team based at our Slough office. The purpose of the P2P Administrator is to process new vendor account set-ups and action any vendor account changes to ensure vendor master data is up to date and accurate. The role holder will also be responsible for processing and managing documentation relating to the vendor account in accordance with HMRC regulations, while ensuring to adhere to the imposed procedures and timescales.
As P2P Administrator, you will assist in the Purchase Order data cleansing activities, helping to maintain accurate and relevant data records. You will also have shared ownership of the department mailbox. Actioning mailbox requests as required, ensuring requests are assigned and managed by the correct team member. This role will be responsible for other administrative tasks relating to the P2P team, ensuring assistant is provided to team members as required.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities will include the following:
- To process new Vendor account set-ups, ensuring all documents have been completed according to the procedures in place
- To process Vendor account changes according to the procedures in place
- To ensure Vendor Master Data is complete and accurate
- To open, sort and redistribute the daily post when required
- To assist in Purchase Order data cleansing, reconciling vendor statements, obtaining copies if required and liaising with sites and departments as required
- To resolve queries with external and internal stakeholders
- To participate fully in Team meetings
- To put forward any ideas and suggestions for improvements to the P2P Manager
- To attend all necessary training that might be agreed
- To acquire a thorough working knowledge of the Group, it’s separate Companies, Sites and Departments
- To complete any other reasonable tasks which may from time to time be requested
What are the requirements?
- Experience of P2P processes
- A keen eye for detail
- A good understanding of HMRC VAT regulations
- A sound understanding of the need for compliance at all times
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Good communication, both verbal and written
- Ability to work on own initiative, but also within a team
