What you’ll do

The Key Account Manager (KAM) will create and implement a Regional Account Plan across multiple Secondary Care Specialties, including Nephrology, Haematology, Immunology and Solid Organ Transplant for the launch of a brand across two therapeutic indications in 2023

One of the key elements of the role will be to develop strategic and mutually beneficial relationships with key customers and customer groups, and deliver on sales targets for allocated brands, ensuring successful adoption of national access at a local / regional level rapidly following reimbursement

The successful jobholder will be expected to take ownership of business plans for their defined geography and input into the development of the business plans at a national level.

This role will also involve identification of potential barriers to prescribing and new patient starts within key accounts and works with the relevant cross-functional partners to implement aligned action plans to address these barriers

Essential for the role

  • Full driving licence & ABPI qualification
  • Significant Secondary care sales experience with a sound knowledge of account management
  • Track record of engaging key business partners in complex clinical environments, e.g., mid and senior level healthcare professionals, key accounts and the medical community
  • Proven track record in influencing the business partner decision-making process in an ecosystem with multiple influential players / decision makers, with proven track record of bringing value in complex DMU

Desirable for the role

  • Significant Pharmaceutical sales experience in Nephrology / Haematology / Immunology / Solid Organ Transplantation / High-Cost Specialist Medicines (specialised commissioning)
  • Current knowledge and experience of AZ designated territory and customers
  • Experience of influencing successfully in a complex organisation
  • Proven track record of launching secondary care medicine/worked in an environment with rapidly shifting clinical and treatment paradigms.
