About the role
The Data Scientist will be a key member of the data platform team, applying strong expertise in machine learning, data mining, and information retrieval to design, prototype, and build the next generation analytics engines and services to optimize activities across multiple functions such as pricing, warehousing, and procurement. As the first member of Radwell’s evolving data platform, the data scientist will be expected to be a thought leader in the data and analytics space by proving the value of advanced analytics to the business. The Radwell data scientist is a forward thinking innovator who understands how to use data to solve next generational problems.
Required Skills
Understands business problems and designs end to end analytics
Develops complex models and algorithms that drive innovation through the organization. This may include improving on-time performance, network planning, etc.
Conducts advanced statistical analysis to provide actionable insights, identify trends, measure performance, and develop recommendations
Provides thought leadership by researching best practices, conducting experiments, and collaborating with industry leaders
Acts as a coach and leader for the rest of the data team, effectively collaborating and sharing expertise with other data platform team members
Uses data to tell a compelling story, using visualizations of modelling results to convey value
Drives innovation
Required Experience
Masters or Doctorate in relevant field, for instance: Science (including data, behavioural, social, econ, ...), Technology, Engineering, Mathematics
Minimum 3 years experience in an analytics or data science role
Extensive experience with Python. Additional experience in R and .NET preferred
Flexible approach to working hours and occasional travel.
