IT Business Analyst (Corporate functions)
We are seeking a strong analytical and passionate Business Analyst to join our team and support with the delivery of business value, not just within a project lifecycle, but before and after.
About the role
This Business Analyst role will be operating predominantly within the Corporate domain, responsible for eliciting requirements for new demand from the support divisions, for capital projects and continuous improvement opportunities.
Within your team, you will be responsible for delivering a consistent, clear and detailed set of business requirements for Information Technology projects and programmes, analysing and documenting business requirements for key processes and producing clear, accurate, agreed documentation.
You will develop plans and proposals for the steps to be taken (including technology selection/ development) to realise the business requirements and at the same time develop, support and improve existing standards for Business Analysis processes and deliverables.
About you
To succeed in this role, you’ll be an experienced Business Analyst with broad experience in working with business support teams, and a BCS Diploma in Business Analysis or Requirements Engineering. Retail experience, or experience in support areas such as Human Resources, Security, Finance would be beneficial.
You will be accustomed to partnering with stakeholders on the full project life cycle working with third party suppliers and partners within both structured and agile project environments. Our ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and communication skills in both written and oral form and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Finally, you will have strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements specifications.
