We have a fantastic opportunity for a Dispenser to join our Hillingdon community pharmacy with a great team.
As a Dispenser you will be an important member of the team, giving great service and helping to create loyal customers that come back time and time again.
The Role:
This role is Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm only, and hence is most suitable for a qualified Dispenser
You will be part of your local community, giving advice, dispensing prescriptions and providing support to help the needs of the local community.
Qualifications:
You must have pharmacy experience working as a dispenser ideally with a qualification (NVQ 2 or NVQ 3) or in training currently. With at least 5+ years experience in a Pharmacy.
You will need to have confidence, be a team player, self motivated, with good customer skills and the ability to communicate well with patients
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Label, dispense and endorse prescriptions in accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure safe supply to patients in an efficient and accurate manner.
- Ensure the safe supply and appropriate storage of medicines.
- Assist where necessary with the preparation of monitored dosage systems to benefit patients on multiple medication regimes.
- Check endorsements and patient declarations on prescriptions and file correctly to ensure maximum payments are received with minimal losses.
- Process invoices and paperwork in a timely manner following company procedures.
- Undertake all necessary housekeeping duties so that dispensary and back shop areas are kept clean and tidy.
- Work as part of a team and actively demonstrate a willingness to support and achieve the overall business objectives.
- Participate in the delivery of any additional services (stop smoking advice, blood pressure testing etc) for which you will have received adequate training
- Follow till processes including sales of over the counter medication, pharmacy merchandise and collecting necessary charges
- Follow the sale of medicines protocol and use the 2WHAM questioning technique provide advice to patients on the use of medicines as well as general health and lifestyle matters.
- Receive and hand out prescriptions under the supervision of the Responsible Pharmacist.
