Overview
Centrica Storage Limited (CSL), have an exciting new position for a Wells Manager.
You will lead well management and engineering activities to support the asset achieve it’s potential. The role will also be required to work closely with the existing wells support from vendors to upgrade the wells during the life cycle of the asset. You will lead well intervention and drilling/completions programmes with associated service and drilling contractor providers. Implement technical assurance systems and processes to ensure safe well design and operation. You will also provide expert wells advice to subsurface and facilities teams to facilitate robust and competitive overall solutions.

Key Accountabilities
Present and explain well engineering aspects to broad range of stakeholders to educate and influence decision making
Influence the maintenance of current well stock in a safe state to be continue Injection and Production operations
Preparation of well engineering concepts, design and operational plans for drilling and completion of wells including well planning, casing design, material and equipment selection, log evaluation, upper/lower completion design, quality assurance and post-job evaluation
Define equipment selection and well services criteria and requirements
Develop wells contract strategy, support contract management and negotiation with supply chain and service providers engaged in wells delivery
Monitor and apply current best practices, technological advancements to all operations
Prepare and participate in peer reviews, peer assists, and other quality assurance activities related to well engineering
Plan and perform well engineering activities (well design, drilling program preparation, drilling procedures, completion design, etc.) at office level and provide engineering support to field level operations
Communicate effectively with well site/project Drilling Engineers on a daily and as needed basis, and make recommendations to engineers to optimize well intervention/ drilling performance
Cost / Risk analysis and AFE preparation for well programmes
Ensure that actual well costs and other pre-defined KPIs are monitored and benchmarked against offset data and pre-defined well objectives
Recruit, lead, coach, develop and provide timely Performance Assessments for wells team personnel
Implement and comply with recognised industry policies and guidelines; obtain necessary endorsements from well examiner and regulators as appropriate
Work Experience & Functional/Technical Skills
Requires broad experience within the oil and gas or process industries, including both project and operational environments
Executive Reporting for team and senior stakeholder consumption
Compelling written and oral communication skills
Education and Certifications
Bachelor/Master's degree in engineering from an accredited university (or equivalent)
Accreditation with a recognised project management or engineering institute/association is preferable
Several years' as a well engineering professional with at least strong experience of leading or managing a well engineering team
Well Control certification
Geo-mechanics knowledge is an advantage
