Job Description
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Junior Graphic Designer to join our design team. Whether you are a recent Graduate or have some experience in the Design sector we will be interested in talking to you. Your role will be to assist in the design of shop front schemes, vehicle fleet liveries, large format digital and exhibition/display systems from initial enquiry through to setting up comprehensive technical job sheets for our production department and manufacturing team, as well as assisting with the development of various engineering solutions for new and existing products. We are looking for someone who is passionate about design and willing to push the industry to the next level. You will work as part of an enthusiastic and fast paced team, delivering beautiful and contemporary signage solutions across the UK for a variety of small, medium and blue-chip clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in and take ownership of product development work
- Conduct product research to guide range development
- Liaise with our factory to manage production and development of your projects
- CAD modelling of product(s)
- Production of technical drawings for both Sales and Installation teams
- Support sales with product information
- Take a brief from Strategy/Creative/PM’s and gather any relevant assets
- Follow pre-created guidelines and working examples
- Ensure that formatting is correct for output
- Present your designs to Senior Management for approval and order
Essential Skills and Competencies
- Experience and understanding of design, manufacturing processes and materials
- Previous design experience, ideally resulting in a finished project which met its design goals. This can be in or out of the industry
- Solid understanding of the design process and core principles
- Educated to a good standard at GCSE or equivalent with a minimum of grade C in English and Maths. Ideally the successful candidate will also have achieved a Level 3 qualification or above in Design or related field
- Solid knowledge of Windows & Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge and experience with utilization of Adobe Software - preferably Photoshop, Illustrator. Previous experience using CAD software would be a bonus
- Efficient with attention to detail
- Teamwork and an enthusiasm for learning and sharing
- Ability to manage own time and workload
- Good communication skills
