An exciting opportunity has become available for a Veterinary Surgeon at Saxon Vets & Framlingham Vets! We are looking for a competent surgeon with an interest in medical cases and an all-round general practitioner who is looking to progress in their career.We are people and patient focussed, we prefer a meeting to an email, and we understand that veterinary practice life is a constantly evolving discussion.We work to a high standard of patient and client care that is evidence based and endeavour to provide a patient first service, ensuring that our care is suited for each client and each budget.
We work over two branches, have dental Xray, a referral level scanning service (VVS) dedicated operating theatres, diagnostic imaging suite, in house laboratory separate dog and cat ward. We have a certificate holder in ophthalmology who is more than happy to be passed all of your scary eye cases. Large reception areas, excellent front of house team.
We would love to speak to those wanting full or part time shifts to cover between 20 and 40 hours a week. Flexible working to fit in with school hours or other commitments would be seriously considered for this role for the right candidate. 1:4 Saturdays recovered as TOIL the following Friday, so you get a lovely long weekend! No out of hours work required. Our rota is fixed several months in advance (unless in exceptional circumstances), and you will generally only work at one site per day.
The salary for this role will be up to £70,000 depending on experience.Our Framlingham branch is our main surgical base, consultations and Nurse clinics are also carried out here. We have all the usual toys including x-ray, dental x-ray, and ultrasound facilities. We have separate cat and dog kennels, dedicated theatre facilities, a spacious prep area and a separate dental suite. Saxon is mainly consult and nurse clinic based, although we do have facilities for admits and basic procedures here at this site.
This is a beautiful part of Suffolk with plenty of lovely countryside of heathland and woodland, around the popular town of Woodbridge. The stunning Suffolk coast, and it's fabulous beaches are a short drive away, all whilst being within an easy drive to London and Stansted airport. Framlingham itself, with its historic buildings, is home to Ed Sheeran's famous medieval 'Castle on the Hill' and the practice is a stones-throw from one of Ed's favourite pubs!We currently have 4 Veterinary Surgeons one who is a certificate holder in ophthalmology. The experience of our current team ranges and includes 2 fantastic recent graduates who a working through the IVC graduate programme. We also have 5 Registered Veterinary Nurse's, 2 Student Nurses, and a team of very competent Veterinary Care Assistant’s and Receptionists to make a Vet’s life as easy as possible.
