That’s why we need a brilliant Senior Pricing Analyst - Insurance to help us get to where we’re going. You’ll bring bags of energy, know-how and passion to our family of door-opening brands, including British Gas and Hive. And you’ll join a team who are just as focused delivering on fantastic results as you are.
This role sits in the Protection Pricing Team which is responsible for designing, optimising and understanding all our insurance prices across our contract services from Home Care and Kitchen Appliance Cover to Break Down only. You will be part of developing and building customer level pricing models and conducting analyses to help monitor and understand performance. This helps us optimise and personalise our prices to make sure we get the best price to each customer.
The home office for this role is Windsor, the team go in around once a month and there will be occasional monthly travel to the London office.
Role Accountabilities:
- Create accurate, insightful pricing analysis to make data led recommendations to support and enable decision making.
- Review end-to-end customer journeys, identifying value opportunities, and forming recommendations on price optimisation across Insurance products
- Help with the implementation of price changes and monitor the impacts on key business metrics.
- Ensure that all pricing activity is aligned to regulatory requirements and has customer fairness at its core.
- Develop, analyse and maintain pricing models, customer life-time valuation, price elasticity test design, and customer behaviour to be used within our price optimisation process.
- Contribute to the preparation of pricing governance materials, business case assumptions and financial models, liaising with other areas of the business.
Experience:
Essential
- Proven experience working in an insurance pricing role (ideally personal lines)
- Strong numerical, mathematics or economics academic record from university or other studying
- Ability to interpret data and an understanding of modelling techniques
- Communicate pricing insights and recommendations in clear and simple terms.
- Good team player and able to build relationships across teams with key stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Excel and MS Office
Desirable – or a desire to learn the below
- SQL coding knowledge
- Experience using price optimisation software such as Radar Optimiser, or Earnix highly desirable. Exposure to Emblem, or similar modelling software, would be an advantage
- An interest to develop a career within the insurance industry
