Here at Morrisons, we are in the middle of a major transformation of our supply chain and logistics businesses. Underpinning this is some really exciting technology which we are delivering at pace. We need great Project Managers to be a part of it.
We are developing a broad range of solutions, from the latest AI forecasting algorithms through to new android apps for our colleagues in store. We’ve also invested heavily in automation. What once took months to test can now be assured within hours. At the heart of the platform are cloud-based microservices which have helped us grow and scale at speed. There is a lot going on; it’s intellectually stimulating and it’s delivering real change for our customers both in store and online.
Excited? We think these roles are broader than just tech project management.
Results are important, but we’re in this for the long haul and ‘how’ we get there really matters. We’ve got some big teams, many of whom work remotely, to deliver our changes. We see being able to nurture a happy motivated team where everyone feels valued as a core part of these new roles. Alongside that, our dream candidate will ‘get the tech’ but be able to tread the boards with the business as well.
We need people who are ‘self starters’ for this role, there will be plenty of support in the background but we’re looking for people who can create a buzz.
These are four-day-a-week roles and we can be flexible in terms of working patterns. As many of our teams are in different sites and countries it makes sense that this role will be home based half of the time. That said, we do think it’s really important to spend the other half of the week in the office to allow you spend time with your project teams.
