This is a great opportunity to join Sport Brighton as a Health and Fitness Manager with the ability to provide a successful and happy sport and fitness environment, which aims to increase sport, health, wellbeing and fitness opportunities for students, staff and the wider community at the University of Brighton. We have an extensive and varied portfolio including a brand-new purpose built 100 station gym in the city and currently relocating our flag ship sites to new premises on the outskirts of Brighton. It is a fun and vibrant environment to work and with constant innovation and investment, you'll be working at pace in an exciting and dynamic diverse customer-focused business. You will be responsible for multiple work streams across:
- Memberships
- Personal/group training
- Group exercise
- Wellbeing and healthy lifestyles
This is a role where you will be highly visible within the business with both your team and your members, you'll need the presence, personality and drive to make a difference in every facet of the operation and you will be unrelenting in driving these standards. You will embody a culture that encourages and recognises entrepreneurial flair and allowing individuals the opportunity to innovate and initiate initiatives benefiting from well-established ways of working from a highly respected organisation in the higher education sports sector.
We are very keen to talk to high achieving fitness professionals with experience in facility management, programming and wellbeing. You will possess the leadership qualities to consistently engage, influence, coach and direct your team of fitness instructors, class instructors, self-employed personal trainers and University student clubs/volunteers to deliver outstanding service and quality in everything we deliver or associate to.
You should be prepared to work a flexible working pattern around the needs of the business which will include duty shifts and covering your teams absences. We welcome applications from candidates seeking to job share.
