Business Development/Sales Manager - Sports Club - Worthing
Up to £30,000 basic + 20% bonus+ excellent career growth
The Business Development/Sales Manager post is a fantastic, newly created post to support an ambitious sports club drive additional income into their already growing business.
This is a really diverse stand alone role and will incorporate function and event sales, corporate hospitality, corporate tournaments, sponsorship/advertising, sports pitch bookings, kids parties as well as partnership development.
The Business Development/ Sales Manager will be specifically responsible for generating new leads into the club through the club’s vast community network, following up all incoming enquiries, and managing the full sales process/customer journey before handing over bookings to the operations team. The income generated will be re-invested back into the club to develop and grow the club both on and off the field, so it is a visibly rewarding opportunity and has so much potential.
Person we are looking for:
· Highly professional, personable and customer orientated.
· Self-starter, entrepreneurial thinker who thrives on working to targets.
· Enjoys picking up the phone, networking and meeting new people.
· Proactive direct sales experience within a similar customer centric business such golf clubs, tennis clubs, fitness clubs, soccer centres, entertainment centres, hospitality & event venues, property services or holiday parks/hotels.
· Experienced in sales planning, lead generation and community outreach activity possibly as a Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Commercial Manager, Events Sales Manager or even an experienced Corporate Sales, or Senior Membership Sales Consultant.
· A passion for sports, hospitality and people.
· Living within easy commuting distance of Worthing.
