Laboratory Analyst – 2 positions available
Full time - 37 hours per week
Up to 12 months fixed term contract / secondment
Salary – up to £24,059 (depending on experience)

About the role
We are looking to recruit an Analyst (level 2) to work out of our UKAS Accredited Laboratory. The successful candidate will be required to carry out routine analytical duties in the Organic or Inorganic Laboratories.
You will be appointed initially to a particular area within the laboratory but may move flexibly across all the units over time. Full training will be provided for all areas of work. Opportunity exists to advance to Analyst (1) level via participation in our Progression Model scheme.
This role has been defined as a safety or security critical role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you’ll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test. Prospective employees and agency workers in defined safety and security critical roles will be required to undertake a drug and alcohol test after the job offer has been made.
This will be prior to or within four weeks of their start date. Prospective employees and agency workers who fail a pre-employment urine drug screen will have their sample analysed by the Company appointed laboratory as a matter of course. Failing a pre-employment drugs or alcohol test may lead to the job offer being revoked.
About you
You will have the ability to read, understand and follow health and safety instructions, written analytical methods and technical instructions and procedures. You’ll also have proven experience of working in a quality controlled environment e.g. GMP/GLP.
You will have proven experience following detailed written instructions / methods and have excellent attention to detail with methodical approach to work.
You will be a great team player, have the ability to be flexible and willing to support other individuals in the team.
