Are you looking for a role that allows you to operate every day and not have to do consults?
This role is for a confident surgeon to perform sole charge routine neutering, mass removals and dentistry at our branch surgeries.
Depending on the shift times, lunch breaks are protected and encouraged, and admin time provided to ensure notes are completed at the end of the shift however admin should be minimal in this role.
We are in a fortunate position to offer a truly bespoke rota to suit your needs whether that be full time, part time, flexi time, term time only, hours to work around the school run or evenings only with other combinations that work for you. If you need to have the school holidays off we are able to accommodate that.
Ideally, we are looking for someone to operate 2 mornings a week from 8:30am-2:30pm however these shifts could be slightly longer/shorter, and the number of days worked per week could be increased. Saturday mornings are optional and there are no out of hours.
Our team consists of 12 FTE Veterinary Surgeons, 11 FTE Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, 2 Animal Nursing Assistants, 25 Receptionist/Support Staff across our 6 branches. Norwich and Loddon have 2-3 Receptionists, 1-2 Registered Veterinary Nurses and 1-2 Veterinary Surgeons per day. We have certificate holders in small animal surgery and medicine.
Our Norwich site is located near the city centre on Hall Road, with designated off-road parking for staff and clients. The practice has a spacious operating theatre, segregated kennel space for dogs and cats, in house biochemistry/haematology blood machines, digital radiography, ultrasound and new dental equipment. Air conditioning is also present throughout the building.
There are good road, rail, and air links within Norwich and between Norwich and London. The city sits on the edge of the beautiful Norfolk Broads and has stunning coastlines within 30 minutes’ drive. Norwich is a vibrant university city with good sporting and entertainment facilities.
Three Rivers has a wonderful friendly team of people, and the Norwich branch is supported by our larger Beccles practice where emergencies and hospitalised patients are transferred to, so you do not have the stress of caring for in patients or working up emergencies impacting on the running of the Norwich practice. We have regular vet and entire practice meetings and run many team building activities with each other outside of work. Well behaved staff pets are allowed
