Justice Healthcare has been evolving over the last 11 years and pharmacy services within NHS Tayside are seen as integral to the delivery of services to individuals in custody.
We are looking for a registered Pharmacy Technician, to work across HMP Perth, HMP Castle Huntly and HMP Bella Unit to further improve the pharmaceutical care offered to individuals whilst they are in custody.
The main responsibilities for the role will involve you working with the pharmacy team to deliver a quality, effective and efficient patient-focused service and to further develop the role of the clinical technician. This includes communicating with Community Pharmacies, GP practices and local prisons. There will be an extensive role within this post to undertake education and training for all members of the healthcare team around safe and effective management of medicines.
You must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
You should have significant post qualification experience including a working knowledge of community pharmacy and HMP establishments, and the provision of services to people with problematic healthcare needs
The ability to be mobile on a daily basis to meet the job requirements is essential, as is the ability to work on your initiative and as part of a team.
